NEA Hydraulics and Machine is a fast-growing Hi-Tech manufacturing company in Jonesboro, AR. We are seeking a qualified and experienced CNC/manual machinist for full-time employment.
We need someone that can hit the ground running!
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Performing job assignments on manual and/or CNC machines.
Manual machine operations include set-up and tool selection.
Operate manual lathes, manual mills, grinders, drill presses, and other standard machine shop equipment.
CNC machine setup and operations including Cad Cam programming for production on CNC lathes or CNC mills.
The Lead Machinist should be self-motivated, dependable - more reliable than spontaneous.
An employee who easily adapts well to changing daily objectives and works well with minimal direction.
The job objective includes the following:
Setup and Perform all Machine Operator functions.
Perform frequent and complex CNC/ mill and lathe setup/operations to produce quality parts based on provided print/sketch specifications.
Team Lead must collaborate positively and effectively with other team members to solve the production setup.
Determine tooling issues by identifying productivity of tooling, evaluating tooling performance, and evaluating new tooling requirements.
Perform a routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, scale, indicators, and SPC equipment).
Maintain safety practices related to machining and other areas of safety is a must.
PPE's are required in designated areas.
Participate in set up reduction/process improvement teams to increase process efficiencies.
Trains others on machining skills via on the job training.
Perform in other areas as requested by the shop manager including but not limited to one or more of the following:
packaging, finishing, material deployment, quality, and other machining areas.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
High school education or GED
8-10 years of machining experience is a plus.
Cad/CAM experience is a must.
Ability to read/interpret prints/sketch; precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, and dial indicators).
In-Depth knowledge of tooling identification.
