Dear Carter and Carter Machinery Customers,
Hay season is almost upon us, and we want to take a moment to reassure you that Carter and Carter Machinery will be here to support you every step of the way.
Jason—known by many as the best mechanic in the area—will continue servicing balers and mowers to keep your equipment running smoothly when you need it most. We will also have a wide range of parts available, including bearings, belts, tiller tines, and many other essential items.
We are proud to continue offering Rhino and Minos equipment, along with buying and selling quality used machinery.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at the shop at (423-282-6969). We’re always happy to help.

Vermeer Parts!!

We will be returning a large portion of our Vermeer inventory soon. As always, we continue to offer the lowest-priced parts in the area. We encourage our valued customers to stock up on any parts you may need for the upcoming hay season. Please stop by and make your purchases before the remaining inventory is returned to Vermeer!

After 53 years of service, Carter and Carter will no longer represent Vermeer. Following the passing of our owner and operator, Clyde Carter, Vermeer informed us that our contract was considered void. We reapplied in hopes of continuing our family-operated business as a Vermeer dealer. Today, our territory manager notified our family that our contract will not be renewed. Please know that this decision was not ours.

We sincerely apologize that we will no longer be able to serve our farm family in this capacity, and we thank you for the many years of trust and support you have shown us. We have always taken great pride in treating our customers fairly and standing behind our work.

We currently have Vermeer parts in stock and will continue selling them until our inventory is exhausted.

It is sad to see the world moving away from “mom-and-pop” businesses, but we remain incredibly grateful to our loyal customers who have supported us for more than half a century.

Carter and Carter’s doors are still open to you—there will simply be a change of scenery. We will let you know our future plans soon!
