What’s hiding under your pool deck might surprise you… 👀

We had to repair a busted pipe and after breaking through the concrete, we found hollow space underneath. The dirt that was originally used to backfill around the pool had settled over time, leaving the concrete unsupported.

This is exactly why at Southern Oasis Pools, we use gravel for backfilling instead of dirt. Gravel doesn’t settle the same way, which helps prevent voids like this—and keeps your concrete from cracking or caving in down the road.

It’s what you don’t see that makes all the difference!
