This position is responsible for the implementation and management of the Krempp Construction Quality Control Program, including coordination, performance, and ex*****on of construction inspection and testing on the project. The QC Manager will be responsible for assuring that the quality of work meets or exceeds the projects contract requirements.
Position is also responsible for overall Site Safety and implementation of Accident Prevention Plan & Site-Specific Safety.
Required Education, Training, & Experience
• Minimum 5-10 years Construction Experience
• College Education Degree in Engineering, Construction, Management, or Architecture recommended but not required
• OSHA 30-hour is recommended, but not required. Successful Applicant will be OSHA 30 Trained
• US Army Corps Engineer Quality Control Certification recommended, but not required. Successful Applicant will be trained.
• General knowledge of commercial and industrial construction from Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Suppression, Concrete Construction, Structural Steel, and other General Contracting.
• CPR & First Aid certifications recommended, but not required. Successful Applicant will be trained.
Skills Required:
• Computer Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, & Excel.
• Ability to review and understand Construction Technical Documents. Review Product Submittals, Shop Drawings, and understand conjunction with the contract documents (Plans and Specifications)
• Ability to communicate and work with subcontractors, superintendents, foreman, engineering staff, USACE Staff
• Ability to record and organize all documentation regarding implementation of quality control and safety plans.
• Ability to facilitate jobsite safety meetings and train employees.
• Ability to recognize on-going construction hazards and record, organize jobsite inspections for all trades.
• Ability to speak clearly and recognize good judgement.
• Ability to work under pressure.
Duties:
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds contract specifications
• Ensure all materials meet or exceed contract specifications.
• Document, monitor, track, and submit all testing and inspection records.
• Perform and facilitate the 3-phases of control for each definable feature of work.
• Review product and shop drawing submittals against contract documents.
• Work closely with project manager and site superintendent to monitor daily work reports.
• Provide daily work and contractor production reports.
• Facilitate jobsite safety meetings and train employees.
• Complete jobsite safety inspections.
