Stewart Glass & Mirror is a local family-owned business servicing Jasper and the surrounding areas. Sammy comes from a legacy of family members in the glass business including his Dad. Sammy Stewart began working as a young boy in this business and worked for his Aunt and Uncle; Bubba & Joann Hebert in the early 1970s for more than 20 years. In 1989 the Hebert’s retired and sold the business to Sa

mmy and Vickie Stewart. Vickie Stewart served two terms as President of the Texas Glass Association along with other leadership positions within the glass industry and was awarded the “Yellow Rose of Texas” award by Governor Ann Richards for advocating for consumers and extensive work on the Consumers Right to Choose bill. Their son Craig Stewart joined them part-time during his teenage years in the mid-1990s and remains an integral part of the company today. Craig has implemented several new innovations to the company which has proven to become successful. Each member of the family has been an integral part of the longevity and success of Stewart Glass over the years. They attribute their success to always keeping their focus geared towards customer service is a priority above all else. Sammy lives and operates his business by a statement you will hear often from him; “When I lay my head on my pillow at night, I can rest knowing I have done the best job possible for my customers”.

CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!!!
This post is in my opinion. It is also what hurts small glass shop owners like ours and many others across the nation based off customer facts. This video can be a little lengthy, but it can be very informative when filing your glass claims, calibration of the camera system after installation, and shopping insurance when purchasing a new vehicle. I hope this helps many of you going forward with your glass needs.

Our manufacturer worked with one of their members to create the work of art you see in the pictures. We installed commercial, aluminum frames with the fiberglass stain glass replacement. CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!!!!!! So, let's start off with, I do not know if the truck in this story was bought second hand. I do not know if the truck had a windshield installed before or after this gentlemen owned it. What I do know about this story and my industry is that a human cannot kick a properly installed windshield out. PERIOD! When I see the news about wrecks online or on tv, I see this all the time. Whether they are on the road or on the wrecker, I see windshields that are patruding away from the vehicle due to the lack of adhesion of the urethane to the vehicle. This is what is considered improperly installed windshield. This kind of work is found primarily from mobile shops that come to your location for a much cheaper price. Pay attention to the news report. It says that the two occupaints of the vehicle kicked the windshield out. That is impossible if installed properly. The urethane holds 900lbs per square inch if installed properly. These occupaints are very lucky they weren't injured. If it were a head on collison things could've been much worse with this improperly installed windshield. Moral to this story is CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!
