A door can do more than make an entrance.

DAWSON’s Transcend Thermally Broken entrances are designed to help reduce unwanted heat transfer between the inside and outside of a building. That means less energy lost through the door, helping buildings use heating and cooling more efficiently.

And the numbers back it up. In DAWSON’s testing, a traditional non-thermally broken door had a calculated U-value of 0.80, compared with 0.40 for a Transcend thermally broken door. A lower U-value means less heat transfer through the door system.

Better energy performance can mean lower heating and cooling costs, improved condensation resistance, and less wasted energy, all without sacrificing the custom design and craftsmanship DAWSON doors are known for.
