🚧 DOB NOW update for sidewalk shed owners, contractors, and property managers 🚧

Starting November 2, 2026, requests to extend the 5-month, 8-month, and 2-year sidewalk shed milestones (under NYC Admin Code §28-220.2.1 and 1 RCNY §102-07) will be filed in DOB NOW: Safety.

DOB also expects Registered Design Professionals to perform field inspections and submit reports through DOB NOW. Check the wording against DOB’s official release before you share it as settled.

DOB is offering free training before the change:
