🌟 Employee Spotlight - Joe Houghton 🌟

As Joe begins his 14th year with Zabatt, he reflects on a career that started in Miami, Florida, where he was born and raised. After high school, he entered the generator industry with GE’s rental division—an experience that took him around the world, including Afghanistan, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and the G8 Summit at Camp David. Joe joined the Zabatt team in December 2012 as a mobile technician, a role that continually challenges him and reinforces a strong sense of responsibility in keeping customers operational. He is grateful for a career that has allowed him to support a wonderful family alongside his wife, Jennifer, and their three daughters, Sophia, Riley, and Stella, and he appreciates the opportunities provided over the years.

Joe’s manager, Andrew Wire, wants us to know there are three words to describe Joe Houghton: loyal, dedicated, and hard-working. Joe is not only an exceptional employee, but also someone who brings kindness and a light-hearted spirit to the workplace. Always pleasant to speak with, Joe is well liked among his colleagues and serves as a positive example for his peers.

At Gateway Irrigation Services, our team of expert electricians installed a new 1,000 kW diesel-powered Cummins generator with a 4,800-gallon sub-base fuel tank and a 1,200-amp ASCO automatic transfer switch, including all required conduit and wiring per project specifications. We provided survey services to mark the exact location of the generator pad, furnished and installed a new 20' x 30' concrete pad, and constructed a new roadway. Our team also integrated and synchronized the new generator with the existing SCADA system to ensure seamless operation.
