I am comfortable and proficient in vessel operations to 100 feet. I spend a lot of time exploring and fishing in our region of the state. I am also involved in the local fishing community and participate in events and tournaments. I am very familiar with our local waterways from Green Cove Springs to Pine Island South on the ICW and Nassau Sound, north on the ICW. I have also delivered and operat
ed boats from The Chesapeake in Virginia to Marathon Key in Florida. I am very knowledgeable with boats, engines (gas or diesel) maintenance and repairs. I am capable of performing most maintenance duties and some troubleshooting on mechanical problems. I am familiar with a variety of marine electronics such as VHF, GPS, Radar, Depth Sounders, etc... I have been working for West Marine for 5 years and stay up to date on most new products and equipment. I am a firm believer in safety first and I operate a boat with that being #1. I am also confident in my abilities to operate a vessel in foul weather or undesirable conditions.
