Telescopic cylinders. I love a challenge . And this was a good one. The back story here was the cylinder was 23 years old , manufacturer quick making the cylinder AND the seal kits . So I searched far and wide for a seal kit and found one!!! Good news is they had them in stock . Took a couple hours to assemble but customer very happy. Started to get to work on a drilling outfit’s equipment. First thing I wanted to do was go out and look at their fittings on their hoses. So that way I will make certain I’ve got every odd, wierd, goofy kind of fitting they might have. I will do the same for you .

Customer caught a lot of flak for having a big Quad tractor but just pulling one pan . Problem is they are so excited to run two pans that they just can't stand it. So on a weekend WE put some sexy hard lines on it and I made him some beautiful flex lines. . . Now come Monday ain't no body gonna be laughing at this Quad with 31 cy of dirt behind it now are they ???!! lol. So you're driving your semi (18 wheeler) down the highway at 70 mph. All the sudden you hear a loud banging sound multiple times your electronics shut off and seconds later your brakes lock up and you can barely get to the shoulder of the road. What the heck just happened ?? Well what happened this time was a drive shaft snapped in half and in its rotation it took out the transmission case , the air lines, electronics, and several hydraulic hoses, including PTOs. What a mess. So this is how I inherited the truck with one PTO strapped to a step and several hydraulic hoses hanging. This was fun. A challenge. So we got on the phone and got a schematic of how the lines were laid out originally. I personally called Tech Support to ascertain proper line placement and sizes and I got to work. If you notice the service truck is very specialized and had two hydraulic pumps. But after a couple of days, Elite hose and hydraulics the pumps plumbed and it won't be long before this truck is back on the railroad. Just another day in the wild and woolly hydraulic world lol.
