⬇️ Now Hiring: Manual Lathe Machinist – 1st Shift Full Time | OT Pay Available
📍 On-site in Itasca, IL | Monday–Friday | No Weekends
Are you a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work? We’re looking for a dependable Manual Lathe Machinist to join our team at L&W Tool and Screw Machine Products. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in large turning on horizontal manual lathes who’s ready to hit the ground running.
⚠️ This is not a CNC position. We're specifically seeking someone with hands-on experience in manual horizontal engine lathes.
🔧 What You'll Do:
-Set up and operate horizontal manual lathes
-Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise work
-Use micrometers, calipers, and bore gages for accurate measurements
-Select appropriate tools for different machining jobs
-Apply critical thinking and good judgment during machining tasks
✅ What We’re Looking For:
-Experience setting up manual lathes
-Strong understanding of precision measuring tools
-Able to read blueprints accurately
-Dependable and professional – showing up on time matters!
-Good attitude and strong work ethic
📅 Work Schedule:
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Optional Overtime Available
No weekends
💵 Compensation:
-Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hr, based on experience plus OT pay (time and a half) after 40hrs/week worked
-Full-Time | ~52.5 hours/week
