Today marks 9 years since Formlabs Sales Engineer, Saxon Swart, joined the Purple team! 🤩

Saxon assists our customers in adopting the latest technology from Formlabs. His favorite part about working at Purple is being able to find customers a unique solution to their projects by using additive manufacturing.

Outside of the office, Saxon enjoys playing golf, going to concerts, and hanging with friends.

We are so thankful for Saxon’s hard work and positivity and love having him as part of the Purple team!

Researchers at the University of Pavia used the Stratasys Digital Anatomy printers to develop skin presets that could accurately mimic different skin thicknesses, age-related properties, and anatomical locations.

Results:
• Realistic suturing performance
• Puncture resistance and peak force measurements matched human skin
• Models preserved age-related and directional tissue characteristics
• Highly repeatable and reduced dependence on cadavers

Stratasys announced today the launch of the new FDM PA6/66-GF30-FR material, a flame-retardant composite material designed to enable rail and transportation manufacturers to produce certified end-use parts and critical spare parts.

Designed for production environments, this material offers reliable printability, excellent surface finish, and repeatable part quality and engineered for use on the Fortus 450mc and F900 systems.

Today marks 15 years since Service Bureau Manager, Matt DeGroat, joined the Purple team! 🙂

Matt manages all operations of Purple Porcupine and its employees. He ensures that all orders are printed to perfection, cleaned, and shipped out in a timely manner. What Matt enjoys most about working at Purple is the creativity he gets to see unfold.

Out of the office, Matt enjoys cooking Italian food, coaching, and playing with his dog.
