🎓 Engineering Internship Spotlight 🎓
This summer, Ironwood Plastics was proud to welcome engineering student Ethan Ruckert as part of our Summer 2026 Internship Program!
Throughout his internship, Ethan gained hands-on experience across a variety of departments, learning how each team contributes to the manufacturing process. From production and quality to tooling, processing, automation, design, and manufacturing engineering, he had the opportunity to see the entire operation in action and develop a deeper understanding of the plastics industry.
During the second half of the summer, Ethan worked alongside Brian Nurmela on a cell design project, applying engineering concepts in a real manufacturing environment while building valuable technical and problem-solving skills. He wrapped up his internship by presenting what he learned and sharing his project experience with our team.
We are grateful for Ethan’s hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn throughout the summer. We wish him all the best as he continues his engineering education and look forward to seeing what the future holds for him!
