We are incredibly proud to recognize five outstanding members of our Ironwood Plastics family who recently took part in an unforgettable experience in Washington, D.C.
Active employees Chris Golembeski, Jeff Grage, John Wilczewski, and Jake Zielinski, along with long-time retired employee Randy Ahnen, represented our community with pride as part of Marty’s Goldenaires. Standing before the Lincoln Memorial, they carried on a powerful tradition of honoring service, history, and camaraderie.
Moments like these remind us that the strength of our company goes far beyond the workplace—it’s found in the character, dedication, and passion of our people, both past and present.
👏 Thank you, Chris, Jeff, John, Jake, and Randy, for representing Ironwood Plastics and our community on such a meaningful stage. Your commitment and pride do not go unnoticed!

🔧 Bridging the Gap Between Classroom & Career! 🎓➡️🏭
Today, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of Mechatronics students for an inside look at life at Ironwood Plastics! Students were from local GCC, Oakland University and Delta College. From robotics to molding processes, the tour was designed to connect what they’re learning in the classroom with real-world applications on our production floor.
Students explored key areas including production, quality, engineering, and processing, getting a hands-on perspective of how innovation and teamwork drive our operations. The day wrapped up with lunch and an engaging Q&A session—giving students the chance to dive deeper and ask thoughtful questions.
We’re excited to inspire the next generation of talent and showcase the opportunities within advanced manufacturing. Thanks to everyone who helped make this experience impactful! 👏

🎓 Inspiring the Next Generation – IWP tour with Hurley School District!
On May 13, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming local high school students to Ironwood Plastics, Inc. for an on-site facility tour focused on career exploration in manufacturing.
During the visit, students learned how different departments come together to support a successful manufacturing operation and had the opportunity to see our processes firsthand as they toured the facility. Members of our leadership team shared insights into a variety of career paths and discussed what it’s like to build a future in manufacturing right here in our community.
The tour concluded with lunch and an informal Q&A session, where students could ask questions and gain a better understanding of the opportunities available in the manufacturing industry.
Thank you to our team members who helped make this experience meaningful, and to the students who took time to visit and learn more about potential career paths with us. We’re proud to invest in workforce development and support the next generation of skilled professionals.

Friday, December 19th, marked another bittersweet day as we celebrated the distinguished career of our Quality Manager, Sheryl 'Sissy' Sejbl, upon her retirement. Sissy began her journey with Ironwood Plastics as an entry-level product inspector and adeptly wore multiple hats over 27 years, including roles in shipping and receiving, customer service, and quality engineering. Her passion for quality was evident, and her high standards significantly elevated Ironwood Plastics. Her dedication is truly unparalleled. Although she will be deeply missed, we are thrilled for her next chapter. The day's highlight was a heartfelt surprise from her family. Best wishes from Ironwood Plastics!

On Friday, Ironwood Plastics marked a significant milestone as we celebrated the retirement of Jim Baker, who completed an impressive 40 years of service on June 3rd. Throughout his career, Jim demonstrated exceptional adaptability and commitment. He played a crucial role in our mold making and tooling engineering department and mentored many of our existing engineers and mold makers. We were delighted to share this special occasion with Jim's family, including his wife, daughter, and grandsons. As Jim begins his next chapter, we extend our warmest wishes for his continued happiness and success.
