We have open plots available at the Humanity House Community Garden. Plots are $25.00 for the year. We provide the equipment, water and the sunshine (well, maybe not the sunshine, someone else put that there).
If you qualify for SNAP, you qualify for a free plot with an agreement to give 2 hours of work/service to the garden in general.
If you are a first time gardener, we have lots of experienced gardeners who are willing and able to help you out. If you have physical limitations, well, that's what I am there to help you with.
We would love to see everyone enjoying the pleasures and health benefits that gardening gives.
And it's always great for kids to learn where their food comes from. 🙂
Give us a call at 620-380-6664.

We are very excited to take our gardens into a new direction. With the help of the experts at Green Cover Seed Company, we have began the process of cover cropping our plots for the winter. This will hinder w**d growth, rejuvenate the soil give us a nice w**d barrier as we plant our crops next year.
We are also excited to be starting our trench composting system. If you would like to save your food waste (no animal products, please), newspapers, used paper towels, egg shells, coffee filters, coffee grounds, etc, in your freezer in a gallon bag or ice cream bucket and then drop it by when it is full, that would be amazing. We will be setting up a time that grass clippings and leaves can be dropped off.
Next year we are planning on a sunflower garden and lots of other surprises. We invited you to stop by and see what we have growing on.
As always, please share this with your friends.
