It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our
beloved founder Ruth Anne Rackley. Born and raised in Citrus County, it was her great pride to serve this community for 58 years.
Left to carry on her legacy are
her nephews Larry and Bubby Duteau. As a family, it is our greatest wish that we can continue to make her proud in
service to you.

Ruth Anne Rackley, age 78, was called home by her savior on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, to join her loving husband Harry. Born on November 14, 1945 to Malcolm Newman and Ruth Elizabeth Smith. Ruth Anne was born and raised in Citrus County, FL. She loved this community and was proud to have served it throughout her life in a number of capacities. Being raised on her mother's dairy farm in Crystal River (Smith Dairy), and her father's cattle farm, she was no stranger to hard work. Alongside her husband of 38 years, she took that hard work and devoted herself to serving the community's needs through Ace Hardware of Inverness and Hernando. Her legacy of love for this community will be continued by her nephew, Larry Duteau, and his family. Ruth Anne also leaves behind siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Children's Miracle Network or the Citrus County Hospice.
