Well folks I know I haven’t been very active on here, but I sure have been busy lately! I have been pretty busy with fence and mobile repairs, but have had some time the last couple months to do some custom projects that I have decided will be standard products.

The first product I want to announce is bottomless guardrail feedbunks of which a few options will be available. These will be available in double sided with open or closed ends and also single sided feedrack style with an adjustable neck rail and top rail and open or closed ends. They are 2’ tall, 26’ long, and typically 42” wide but can be other widths if desired.

The second product I want to announce is portable hoofwash boxes. The ones I have made are 10’x12’x1’ but can be made to custom dimensions. These have square tube on top on the inside and outside to add stiffness and have D rings on each corner. Three piece gates are suggested to guide cattle off the fence and can be put on one, both, or neither side.

On another note, my spring schedule is full and my summer schedule is almost full so if you have any projects you want done or orders you want placed, get ahold of me now!

Well folks, I know I haven’t been very active on here, but I have a big announcement! I finally have a shop big enough to get large projects into! This will allow me to do in house repairs and rebuilds on anything from semi trailers to grain carts and drills! This will also help streamline production of other products that I make in house. That being said, I am currently booked out on production work until February and until April on construction projects while still allowing time for service calls and in shop repairs.

If you are wanting any fencing projects done, get ahold of me now as my spring schedule is filling fast with limited availability in April and May already. It is never too soon to start thinking about layout and the most efficient way to utilize the space you have and longer notice allows me to get all the preparations done and material sourced before it becomes urgent and then a time crunch.

With the new shop I will be able to streamline production of different products which will allow for shorter lead times on larger orders and will open up my capabilities on making different products. I currently have a few custom projects in the works that will possibly become regular products, so stay tuned!

Thank you and Merry Christmas to all my customers and supporters!

Well folks, I know in my last post I said I have been working on a lot of projects and figured I’d shine some light on some of them. Over the last couple months, I’ve been doing a lot of service calls for guys finishing up planting, spraying, and getting through wheat harvest. I’ve also been doing quite a few on site projects updating old facilities or putting new products in place from bunklines, gates, fences, and even a couple solar well surrounds with tank divides. Even though I have made a pretty good dent in the to do list, new projects keep getting added, sometimes daily, so if you have anything you want done, don’t hesitate to get ahold of me today to get on the list! I currently have quite a few on site projects lined up and have a few orders for panels, gates, and a couple chutes, but have some availability to squeeze in some smaller on site projects or add to the late summer production run. I will still be offering service calls through this busy season, but would prefer any schedulable projects to get scheduled weeks in advance if possible. Thank you to all my current customers and any future customers!

Well folks, I know it’s been pretty quiet lately on the page, but it has sure been a busy last couple months! Today I put the finishing touches on a project I did for the Furnas County Fairgrounds putting a perimeter fence, show ring, staging area, and wash rack fence in for their new livestock building! There were a few bumps along the way, but with some brainstorming and persistence it’s all finished! For this project I made 7 bar continuous panels and some of my rectangle frame gates and hung them on capped 2 3/8 and 4 1/2” posts. This is just one of the many projects I’ve gotten done the last couple months along with plenty of repairs and service calls, stay tuned for posts on those! Thank you to everyone who helped out and did other aspects of this project!

Hard Bark Ranch Equipment is hiring! We are looking for a hard working individual to join our team to keep up with providing service to the area and the ag industry.

The position is for a welder, but there is a lot more than just welding involved, the job duties include: material handling, cutting and prepping parts for welding, welding and bolting parts together to make products and assemblies, prepping and painting, on site installation of products, fence construction, and occasionally assisting with service calls.

This job has quite a bit of variety from week to week and even day to day what you will be working on. Pay is based on experience and skills starting at $20/hour for 40 hours/week with optional overtime. Pre-employment drug screening and skills test required, boot and clothing allowance and PPE provided.

Message me on here or call (308)345-9097 to apply.

The cows eat every day and the field doesn’t care what time it is and neither does my welding rig! I had a service call to fix a cylinder mount on a harrow last night for a customer and got him back on the lead lap in the dark! When you need to keep going, get me on the job!

It sure has been a busy last few weeks around here with service calls, working on orders, and helping with a few things on the ranch!

First off, I’d like to announce a new product I’m offering-pipe bunks! I will be offering a couple different versions, and various lengths up to 45 feet. These bunks are made out of 26” 5/16” wall pipe with 4 1/2” legs and channel iron braces. The first style is the one pictured below with uprights and a top rail with the option to add a neck rail of your choice. The second style will be just the pipe, legs, and braces and is available with open or capped ends.

Secondly, I’d like to remind everyone that I perform service calls along with shop repairs from feed trucks, trailers, field equipment, and so much more! I am set up for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron and offer hard facing, brazing, and pin gouging as well!

The spring production and project schedule is filling up fast, but I still have some room before summer and will still be available for service calls and emergency projects. Get ahold of me today by messaging on here or calling or texting (308)345-9097 for any projects, orders, or custom items you want made!

Here’s a set of pictures and a little bit of explanation on this calving chute. My family’s operation needed a solution for being able to use this barn for calving and doctoring, and will use it for club calves when that season rolls around. They needed something that fit in the barn that would efficiently use the space it occupies and the space around it, so I added 2 auxiliary gates that will create 2 pens by only using 2 other panels. I also made the length and gate swings work to eliminate an alley from the door to the chute without impeding traffic through the door and past the chute. The frame posts are doubled up and gussetted, and always the gates have “through rails”, mitered cuts, and gussets. This is a pretty stout set up, and will last many years! This originally was a custom order, but I think I will add this as a customizable product. Get ahold of me today for a chute to efficiently utilize space with economical durability!
