Good morning! At 8:04AM Xcel reports that overnight power outages should be fully restored. Total snowfall accumulation about 8”.

Here’s a look at current road conditions for the last 1.5 miles of Fall River Road this morning.

🔹 Fall River Road at Coors Parking Lot has been plowed / sanded, but high winds may make y slick road conditions in spots.

🔹 Fall River Road at Silver Lake has NOT been plowed by Metro. Windy gusts up to 55 mph with drifts.

Good morning and happy Friday everyone. We received an unofficial 6-7" of snowfall at Silver Lake this morning. Latest forecasts shows continued snowfall, heavy at times, though this evening. See USNW Winter Storm Warning details toward the end of this post.

Ⓜ️ Glacier Plow St Mary's WeatherCast:
🔹AccuWeather forecasts predicted 4-8" total from this storm (see below), but we've already received around 6-7". So we'll clearly get much more snow than forecasted by the end of this storm.
❄️ Glacier Plow is predicting St. Mary's will get a total of 10-12" of new snowfall by storms end.
💨 Minimal wind at this time. However, winds are forecasted to pick up on the backside of the storm.

Here’s a look at current road conditions for the last 1.5 miles of Fall River Road this morning.

🔹 Fall River Road at Coors Parking Lot has been plowed / sanded, but high winds continue to blow creating slick road conditions and snow drifts.

🔹 Fall River Road at Silver Lake has been plowed by Metro and is snow packed. Very windy with gusts up to 35 mph.

Good morning and happy Friday. St Mary’s received a trace to 1” of snow overnight.

According to Seth’s Weather Report, strong winds today with another chance of moderate snow from 11pm Fri to 5pm Sat, heaviest Sat morning. Generally 1-4" for the local ski areas and mountains passes, favoring the front-range mountains (Loveland Pass to Berthoud pass, IPW, RMNP, Cameron Pass, etc, up 6"+ in a few spots).

Here’s a look at current road conditions for the last 1.5 miles of Fall River Road.

🔹 Fall River Road at Coors Parking Lot has a 1-2” drifts with blowing snow conditions. Clear Creek County has not plowed yet, making for icy road conditions.

🔹 Fall River Road at Silver Lake is very windy with blowing snow and drifts.

XCEL PSPS RESTORATION UPDATE

RESTORATION UPDATE
Restoration efforts have begun

This morning, as a public safety measure with extreme wind and critically dry conditions forecast, Xcel Energy proactively turned off power in: Boulder, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer and Weld counties. This included your location.

Crews have been patrolling the region and have begun some restoration activities. Hundreds of crew members will be positioned to start mass restoration first thing Saturday morning.

Please note that restoration times may be impacted by continuing high winds and the extent of damage to our system.

- We expect a large number of customers will have power restored by Sunday, December 21 at noon.

- Some customers may experience extended outages into Monday.

Specific Estimated Restoration Times (ERTs) may not be immediately available. Call center agents will have the same information displayed on the Outage Map. When a specific ERT is set for your location, you will automatically receive a notification.

Please understand full restoration will take hours or days to complete. Crews must inspect power lines for damage and make repairs before safely re-energizing the system.

Our top priority is restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. There has been substantial storm damage to equipment and nearby vegetation from the weather the past several days. With ongoing high winds, additional outages and storm damage are still possible.

We encourage you to check for damage to the mast—the electric service connection to your home. If the mast is damaged, a licensed electrician must make repairs before service can be restored.
