The MDR founders are having a great time in Phoenix for the Inc 5000 conference. Day one included great talks from the founders of Carvana, Lucy Guo, Alphonzo Terrell, and Brannin McBee. One highlight was a conversation about Purpose Driven Leadership between Julia Hartz (founder of Eventbrite) and Jay Shetty. And as a company headquartered in Alabama, it was great to see Innovate Alabama representing the state so well!

MDR loves to partner with businesses to provide unique employee perks! One of our favorites is our corporate platinum memberships with TopGolf. We've had two corporate memberships for over 6 years now and enjoy hosting small, informal meetings there. We recently took advantage of an offer to get a lesson from their Director of Instruction. It was a great time and very helpful! Hope this helps us stay competitive at the local charity golf tournaments too!

The MDR softball team closed out the season with a fun and competitive game against the Golden Domers, taking a significant lead in the final inning of the game that had been neck and neck until the end!

MDR's Lunar Llamas team was back on the field last night for a doubleheader! We had a strong turnout which gave us the stamina to win both games and had a great time doing it. One more game, Monday, before we head into the playoffs.

MDR is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Dye to Deputy Director of Missile Defense Programs. We are also excited to announce the promotion of Shane Bowermaster who is stepping up as a Team Lead, filling Brian's previous role. Our internal research and development team (Llamaworks) has been hard at work today as we head into the Independence Day weekend! The team has been conducting full-up endurance testing of MDR's tethered drone! Huge shout out to the team of interns and their incredible Chief Engineer, Taylor! They successfully achieved 3 continuous hours of flight time with the drone operating on tethered power, while sending data down to the ground station through the tether!
