APT Research had a great visit last week from the University of Alabama in Huntsville Charger Rocket Works team and faculty advisor David Lineberry.

Max Hailer and Lora Johnson walked us through the safety requirements of the NASA Student Launch Initiative and how their team applied them on the road to a successful national championship launch of the Axiom rocket in Toney, AL. Megan Stroud, Mike Wesoloski, Marty Ohme, Lane Walden, Jay Staub, and Lindy Taylor shared how APT implements safety across all phases of rocket and missile development and test.

It was an excellent exchange between two teams that take safety seriously. Congratulations on a strong 2025-2026 season!
