Meet the 2026 PeopleTec Summer Interns! ☀️

We’re excited to welcome the next generation of innovators to PeopleTec for a summer of learning, collaboration, and hands-on experience.

💫 Our interns kicked off the summer with a welcome from Co-Founder & CEO Terry Jennings and President Joan Smith, who shared the story behind PeopleTec, our PeopleFirst TechnologyAlways culture, technical mission, and advice for building meaningful careers.

🙌 Throughout the summer, interns will gain real-world experience through our Continuous Learning Program, mentorship opportunities, and impactful projects alongside PeopleTec’s subject matter experts.

Our June , is Zack Brown, Deputy Program Manager for 7 years! 🌟🎉

In his role, Zack oversees technical development efforts for the CyDER product, ensuring his team has the tools and resources they need to deliver new capabilities to customers. He primarily works within the Agile Development Lifecycle while also leveraging his previous Software Assurance experience to help the team build secure, reliable code. 🌐💻🔒 Zack is also the Chair of PeopleTec’s Technology Always Resource Group – Energizing Talent (TARGET). 🎯

Regarding his achievements, he shares: “There are so many to choose from but I’m very enthusiastic about CyDER and what we're doing to help our Space Force Guardians gain new Defensive Cyber Training capabilities. One of our biggest accomplishments to date is ensuring those Guardians had access to training throughout the government shutdown last year, and despite the obstacles presented, they were able to train and accredit new Defensive Cyber Operators with our tool.” 🛰️🛡️

Zack holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, along with CompTIA Security+, Project+, and Offensive Security Wireless Professional certifications. 📚 Outside of work, he enjoys captaining his recreational hockey team, spending time on the ice, and playing the drums. 🏒 🥁
