If you’ve been in downtown Myrtle Beach lately, you may have noticed two hotels slowly disappearing from the skyline. 👀

One is seven stories and the other is thirteen, and they’re coming down one piece at a time.

Danny Allen, owner of Allen’s Demolition, is running the job from the seat of his new Volvo EC500 High Reach Excavator. The arm reaches about 89 feet up, and from there a Genesis Razer shear cuts through concrete and rebar walls floor by floor.

There’s not much room to work downtown, but Danny and the EC500 are making it look easy.

Lucas Guest, Mickey Freeman and Dalton Fulmer from our Ascendum Machinery team have been on site supporting Danny and his crew along the way.

Ascendum Machinery is proud to announce the acquisition of Reynolds-Warren Equipment Company, bringing together nearly 50 years of paving, compaction and pavement preservation expertise with the scale and resources of Ascendum.

For customers, that means:

• Five Georgia locations: Lake City (Atlanta), Valdosta, Richmond Hill (Savannah), Buford and Macon

We believe that when we take part in industry events, we help drive real change and make it easier for the next generation to see themselves in this industry.

That's why members of our team attended the AED Women in Equipment Conference earlier this month. Hosted by Associated Equipment Distributors, the event brings together women from across the equipment industry for leadership development, education, and connection. It gave our team the chance to hear what the industry is saying, learn from leaders across construction and equipment, and bring those insights home so we can provide mentorship back to our organization.

The women of Ascendum are a big part of that. Their dedication, hard work, and leadership strengthen our company every day, and by showing up and sharing what they learn, they're helping build an industry where more people can see a future for themselves.
