The WCM Group is excited to introduce the newest member of our environmental team Ms. Carley McNutt.
Carley recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, this past May, from Baylor University. She is continuing her education at Tulane University Law School and upon completion will graduate with a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Environmental Law!
We are excited to have her with us!

This week the WCM team is out enjoying the sun and pre-fall temperatures sampling groundwater monitoring wells in South Texas. Need help following an environmental spill or release to obtain a clean closure? Our remediation team helps from start to finish – pulling samples, developing remediation strategies that are cost effective, interfacing with agencies, and providing project oversight.

In September WCM conducted Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments at an industrial property in Channelview, Texas in conformance with ASTM Standard Practice E-1527-13 and E-1903-19. The purpose of a Phase I ESA is to identify, to the extent reasonably feasible, Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) associated with a property. The purpose of a Phase II ESA is to confirm or rule out, to the extent feasible, RECs in connection with the property as identified in the Phase I ESA.

For any new development or acquisition of a property or facility, due diligence is key to ensuring you get the most from your investment – and to provide investors and third parties (such as banks) with the information and insight they need to make a more informed decision. The WCM environmental consulting team helps businesses know what they’re “getting into” by investigating items related to permitting, past spills or incidents, compliance status, potential contamination liability or issues, and more.
