Veneering a inlay flat panel with a flip top vacuum frame press. In this video we use a 5 cfm automatic air powered vacuum. With a vacuum press you can achieve up to 1800 lbs. per square foot of even and uniform pressure. You will always get a flat smooth veneer. With a vacuum veneer press you also draw glue deep into the pores of our wood. This is a much better process than using clamps.

Check out our new video. This video shows inlay flat panel veneering with a vacuum frame press. We use a 5 cfm automatic all pneumatic vacuum pump with a flip top vacuum frame press. This is a tool that makes any wood shop more effective.

Let's delve into the process of working with VAK-Bond 2000 Woodworking Glue.

In this instructional guide, we'll provide comprehensive insights into VAK-Bond 2000. This adhesive is commonly referred to as a PPR (Powder Plastic Resin) or brown glue within the woodworking industry. PPR denotes its composition as a powder plastic resin. It's highly esteemed in the field for veneering and laminating due to its exceptional qualities. VAK-Bond 2000 is classified as a type two water-resistant and heat-resistant glue. Notably, it boasts an exceedingly robust curing process, resulting in a rigid glue line that minimizes the likelihood of spring back.

Our tutorial will cover the precise determination of required glue quantities for your specific woodworking project. Furthermore, we'll demonstrate the correct methodology for weighing and mixing the glue.

Typically, one pound of VAK-Bond 2000 is adequate for an area spanning 25 square feet. To prepare the glue mixture, you'll need to adhere to a specific ratio: 1 part powder to approximately 0.5 to 0.65 parts by weight.

For instance, if you plan to cover approximately 100 square feet and decide to measure out 4 pounds of glue, you'll need to incorporate 2 pounds of water into the mix.
