I don't post much, but here is some conversions and repairs I have done on Nikon and Olympus microscopes to led light and another Aus Jenna scope with a new power supply for the bulb. I use my 3d printer to make customized parts for the conversions.

A project I am working on for my son's friend that lost their dog to accidental hanging. Yeah! pretty messed up!

Repair on a Leica GZ6. Replaced old plastic gears that were cracked with new ones. Cl meeaned, lubricated, cleaned all optics and verified proper operation.

Latest project, adapting new digital camera, software and screen to a Tool Shop Measuring Microscope System up by Cleveland.
The focusing block of the new optics and camera will be adapted to the old scope base system.

Same Microscope repair and been beating my head against the wall to find out what is wrong with it. My brother and I being past machinists found that the stage block was milled incorrectly. The tabs on the stage block where the stage bolts on was 20 thousands different from one side to the other causing the stage to be out of level. The user would need to always be refocusing as they move across the slide(sample). This scope was never manufactured correctly and I am surprised it wasn't an issue for the user. I took it in on trade for a new scope and can't sell it like this. We had to do some milling to correct part of the problems and will need to shim the stage block to get the light path all lined up like it should be. This will end up just being a loaner scope!

The pics show the work we have had to do to the stage block to correct part of the couple of issues.

DON"T LET THE WD40 SCARE YOU, IT IS ONLY USED FOR CLEANING OLD GREASE OFF. IT IS NOT USED FOR RELUBRICATING I have special grease types for that! LOL

Working on a microscope, opthalmoscope, and centrifuge.

This microscope needs complete alignment of optics. It must have got bumped and has been some work to get it back working like new. Microscope alignment tools are not always available so you have to make your own. This is the reason why microscopes that need major repair can not be repaired on site.
