There's a reason 13CR continues to have a place in demanding well environments.

When corrosion becomes a bigger part of the equation, material selection has to keep up. 13CR is a quenched and tempered martensitic stainless steel used for corrosion resistance in sweet and mildly sour environments.

But like any specialty alloy, performance depends on understanding where and how it's applied. Factors like pH, chlorides, and temperature all play a role in determining suitability, which is why getting the material right takes more than just selecting a grade.
