BIG FLOOR. BIG PREP. RIGHT MACHINE.
Before the resin goes down, the concrete needs the right profile. Shot blasting is a proven way to mechanically prepare the substrate and establish a consistent CSP across the floor. The Husqvarna Blastrac 1-15DS uses steel shot to mechanically remove laitance, coatings, and surface contaminants while creating a controlled Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) for the system going down next.
The profile you need depends on the system, substrate, and specified thickness. With the right shot size, machine speed, and abrasive flow, shot blasting can produce profiles in the CSP 3β7 range.
That matters when you're installing epoxy, urethane, broadcast, or other high-build resinous systems. You want a clean, sound substrate with the right mechanical tooth not just concrete that looks clean.
β 15" working width
β Self-propelled operation for a more consistent blast pattern
β Adjustable surface profile through shot size, speed, and abrasive flow
β Removes laitance, coatings, and surface contamination
β Mechanical preparation without water or chemical stripping
β Designed for commercial and industrial surface preparation
β Connects to an industrial dust collector for closed-circuit, virtually dust-free operation
Prep isn't the part of the job to cut corners on. Get the substrate right, verify your CSP, and then put the system down.
