During our 1st annual spring cleaning, we came across this photo of our founding partner, Gerald Tackett, at work designing the office building we now work in. We miss Gerald everyday, but his legacy and integrity continue to inspire the work we do.

This 12,500 SF station is home to Iowa Colony Fire Department and Brazoria County ESD 3 EMS. Each department has their own living quarters and direct access to a shared apparatus bay. This station was a fun challenge and the result is a beautiful, effective facility and a lasting relationship with our friends at BCESD 3!

We have officially broken ground on Brazoria County ESD No. 3's new Fire/EMS Station! This is an amazing group of people and we are excited to continue our work together. Stay tuned to see more photos as the project progresses...

This year, we were able to spend our Memorial Day with Harris County ESD 17 at Little York Station 82 as they dedicated their station, specifically the new flag pole plaza. This station was special for all of us - it sits just across the street from the Houston National Cemetery. Recognizing the proximity of the station to this solemn location, STA wanted the design to be strong and dignified as a show of respect and honor. Seeing that memorial everyday inspired the clients to take it one step further and pay tribute to all veterans by raising a flag for each branch of the Military. After all the flags were raised, they were lowered to half staff for the children and teachers whose lives were taken last week in Uvalde.

We owe a debt of gratitude to all who have served and will forever cherish getting to be a part of this project to honor their lives.

We are excited to have just celebrated 15 years as Slattery Tackett Architects. One of our very first clients when we began this partnership was the Little York Fire Department, so as we celebrate this milestone as a firm, we are also celebrating a 15-year long relationship with Little York.
