Michael Fitzgerald, PE, F.SAME, has been named Houston Regional Leader, and Chris Kuykendall, PE, has been named North Texas Regional Leader. Jeff Safe, PE, has been appointed Managing Director of Houston Land Development, succeeding Fitzgerald in that role.

These appointments build on the recent promotions of Rodney Heisch, PE, to Chief Corporate Officer and Mike Garrison, PE, to Chief Operating Officer, further demonstrating our commitment to developing leaders from within.

Michael and Chris have each played an instrumental role in shaping BGE's success. Their decades of experience, dedication to our clients, and passion for mentorship position them to lead our teams into the future while continuing to strengthen the relationships and communities we serve.

When ARWA set out to secure that future, BGE was entrusted with helping bring one of its most important components to life.

This year, BGE employees had the opportunity to participate in Texas A&M University's annual Survey Camp, working alongside civil engineering students to provide hands-on field experience and a firsthand look at the surveying profession.

It was great to hear from the program organizers and students how meaningful it was to learn from practicing survey professionals, apply classroom concepts in the field, and gain a deeper understanding of the essential role surveying plays in successful engineering projects.

We are especially proud of our employees who volunteered their time to help inspire and prepare the next generation of engineers. Experiences like Survey Camp not only strengthen technical skills but also help students understand the value of teamwork, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Thank you to the Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University for partnering with industry professionals to create these impactful learning opportunities. We are honored to support programs that help bridge the gap between education and hands-on experience, and we look forward to continuing our involvement in the years ahead.

BGE welcomed our interns and new hires from our Fort Worth office at the SH 183 RR Replacement Project for a hands‑on learning experience.

The group spent time in the field office reviewing plans and discussing how our teams collaborate to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure. Their visit concluded at the shoofly concrete cap, which is nearing its next pour, offering a firsthand look at the craftsmanship and coordination behind the project.
