R&R Gas and Equipment is looking for an experienced Class A or B CDL driver. This position will be responsible for transporting compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard-goods in the Houston area. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a safe environment. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic.
Compensation: $19-$20/hour (DOE)
Work Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
*Must be able to work overtime and weekends with or without notice; however, overtime and weekend work is never guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
• Delivers compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard-goods to customers. • Collects empty compressed gas cylinders and liquid cylinders. Returns empty cylinders to worksite for refilling.• Operates a forklift, pallet jack or other warehouse equipment in order to load and unload trucks following all company policies and procedures.• Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.• Makes deliveries outside of regular route to provide customers with product. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. • Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.• Listens to and resolves service complaints. Provides feedback to supervisor about customer complaints and requirements.• Maintain and protect company property.• Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.• Conduct pre, during, and post trip inspections according to FMSCA guidelines.• Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.• Complies with all company policies, safety policies and procedures.• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Qualification & Skills:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)• One-year verifiable commercial driving experience and 21 years of age• Must possess valid CDL class A or B with hazardous material and air brakes endorsements• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to do the job (including being able to read traffic signs, complete forms, and converse with enforcement officers• Must be able to safely operate the motor vehicle he/she will be driving• Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen • Must be physically qualified to operate the vehicle in accordance with Sec. 391.41• Must provide a list of violations as required by Sec. 391.27• Must have forklift experience (sit down forklift)• Committed to quality, safety and communication • Team-oriented and self-directed • Flexible and able to adapt to change based on work demands• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures • Excellent customer service skills
R&R Gas and Equipment is required to maintain a driver qualification file for each driver we employ.
