At the end of April, we closed out our OPS Elevate program with one final in-person session in Chicago Heights — and it was an incredible way to finish. 🎉

Over the last several weeks, this group brought energy, engagement, and a genuine commitment to growing as leaders across our operations teams. From weekly virtual sessions to the final presentations, it was exciting to watch the relationships, collaboration, and confidence continue to grow throughout the program.

A huge thank you to Andrea Lankford and the Feralloy team for the partnership, guidance, and support in helping shape the OPS Elevate program and experience. 👏

May kicked off Reliance Cares Global Volunteer Month, and there’s no better way to recognize it than by the impact our people are making across our locations.

Beverlea Bons from our Cedar Hill location recently volunteered to help conduct mock interviews for women preparing to enter the workforce, guiding them through one-on-one, phone, and panel interview scenarios to build confidence and real-world experience.

Those interviews were part of Cleburne Christian Job Corps, a 12-week job readiness program focused on equipping women for life and work with a hand up, not a handout.

Grateful to support efforts that help move people forward.🤝

We’re excited to welcome Matt LaBorde to the team as an Account Representative in San Antonio! 🎉

Matt brings 27 years of experience in the steel industry, getting his start working at his dad’s company, Premier Steel, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Following its acquisition by Metals USA and Kloeckner Metals, he continued building his career and industry knowledge.

Originally born in Shreveport, he later moved to Uvalde, Texas, where he graduated from Uvalde High School before attending Blinn Jr. College in College Station.
After years of wanting to return to South Texas, the opportunity in San Antonio felt like the right fit—and we’re glad he made the move.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys hunting and playing golf. ⛳

As he gets started, he’s focused on continuing to learn more about the business and building strong relationships while growing his sales.

We’re glad to have him on board and look forward to what’s ahead. ✨
