🎉 Celebrating 25 Years with Blake Cooley! 🎉

For 25 years, Blake Cooley has been a valued part of Wisenbaker Builder Services. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, hard work and commitment he has brought to Wisenbaker throughout his career. As we celebrate this milestone, we want to thank Blake for the impact he has made, the relationships he has built and the many years he has dedicated to our team.

If you could relive one moment from your time at Wisenbaker, what would it be and why?
“If I had to pick one moment, it would be my time spent in Central Texas. In 2007, when I transferred to our San Marcos location (serving both Austin and San Antonio), the company was new to the region. We had a lot to prove and were building relationships from scratch. There were many early mornings, late nights, and weekends. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with some incredible people—fellow employees, contractors, customers, and vendors—who had great attitudes and the right amount of grit to get the job done. It was a valuable growth experience for all of us, and I am thankful that many of us remain friends today.”

Our 2026 summer interns got the opportunity to experience Wisenbaker from the inside and put their interests into practice in a real-world environment.

Whether working within one area or rotating through multiple departments, they were able to learn from our teams, explore different parts of Wisenbaker and gain experience in the fields they’re pursuing. We’re so glad they chose to spend their summer as part of the team, and we hope they leave with new skills, great memories and connections that continue beyond their time here.

As many of our interns head back to class today, we’re wishing them a great semester and continued success throughout the school year. Thank you for spending your summer with us and allowing us to be part of your journey — we can’t wait to see where you go next!

An internship can offer a whole new perspective when you get to see ideas come to life.

As a Design Center Intern, Elyssa spent her summer learning more about the industry while seeing firsthand how designers guide selections from individual samples to a finished space.

One experience that stood out was visiting a model home and seeing how the choices made in the Design Center came together in the final design. It gave her a chance to connect what she was learning each day with the finished result.
Throughout her internship, Elyssa gained valuable experience by learning from the people around her and getting a closer look at the work that goes into creating spaces for our customers.

🎉 Celebrating 15 Years with Jose Saenz! 🎉

For 15 years, Jose has grown at Wisenbaker through new opportunities, different departments and the people he has worked alongside. His connection goes back even further, from visiting Wisenbaker with his father when he was young to building a career of his own.

What have you learned over the past 15 years?
“Working in different departments and with great people has helped me grow throughout the years here at Wisenbaker Builder Services. I always value every detail. For me, even a small detail I see it as a chance to learn and an opportunity to grow.”

What accomplishment are you especially proud of?
“I have been part of several projects during my 15 years at Wisenbaker. In each project I collaborated with others to drive company goals. I am proud to have grown from the ground up within this company. The road has been long, but I am grateful of the skills I have built.”

What moment from your time at Wisenbaker would you relive?
“Wow, I have several special moments that I would like to share but I would never finish. First, I want to share my beginnings when I met the great people from Wisenbaker Builder Services. This is from going with my father when I was young, to the older company at the Nordling location and to my favorite, the picnics at the H&H Ranch, those were the best. Working at Wisenbaker I would go back to the time when everything started. A moment that always comes to my mind is when we have our Thanksgiving lunch at the warehouse. It is the same location where I used to work late hours doing inventory back in the day. I would always say, “I wish people could be here this late and see the hard work we put in after hours." Going back to where it all started, brings back memories. Now seeing that same place filled with people around Thanksgiving, reminds me of the journey, the dedication, and how far I’ve come. I want to give a shout-out to The Houston Template Techs, my previous team members and to my colleagues in The Estimating Department."

There’s a lot to learn when you get a firsthand look at what keeps an operation moving.

As a Manufacturing Intern, Logan Sosolik spent his summer gaining exposure to the processes, responsibilities and teams that work together behind the scenes at Wisenbaker.

No two days looked exactly the same, giving Logan the opportunity to take on new challenges, learn from experienced team members and gain a broader understanding of the many moving parts.

🎉 Celebrating 40 Years with Nelda Burke 🎉

Today, we have the honor of celebrating Nelda Burke’s 40th anniversary with Wisenbaker Builder Services.

For four decades, Nelda has been part of the Wisenbaker story. Forty years represent countless projects, changes, challenges, accomplishments and relationships built along the way. It’s a milestone that speaks not only to an incredible career, but also to the lasting connections and memories created over a lifetime with Wisenbaker.

To celebrate, we asked Nelda:

If you could relive one moment from your time at Wisenbaker, what would it be and why?
“On my 30th year at Wisenbaker Builder Services, John Sr. gifted me with a Mamma Brangus Cow and a calf. Diane is 10 yrs old now and has been the gift that keeps on giving. In July she (Diane) had her 7th calf. I love that I have this Memory forever of John Wisenbaker Sr. and Diane Wisenbaker.”

It’s a story that says so much about what 40 years with a company can mean. What began as a gift celebrating Nelda’s 30th anniversary has become a memory she has carried with her for another decade — and one that continues to grow. We are grateful for the dedication, knowledge and commitment she has brought to Wisenbaker throughout her career.

Nelda, congratulations on 40 remarkable years! Thank you for everything you have given to Wisenbaker and for being part of our story for four incredible decades. Here’s to the memories you’ve made, the impact you’ve had and a milestone worth celebrating.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in the past 5 years that has shaped how you work today?
“I’ve learned over the past five years the importance of building relationships. I have had the opportunity to work with multiple branches and collaborate with people across different departments, and those connections have had a huge impact on how I approach my job. Taking the time to get to know coworkers has helped me better understand how different areas of Wisenbaker work and connect. It has given me new perspectives and made it easier to solve problems. Everyone I have met so far has been willing to share knowledge and offer support when needed. I’m grateful to be a part of a company where teamwork and helping each other succeed is part of the culture.”

🎉 Celebrating 5 Years with Emily Craig 🎉

Today, we’re excited to celebrate Emily Craig and her 5-year anniversary with Wisenbaker!

Throughout her time with Wisenbaker, Emily has learned the value of adapting to each new situation and taking the time to truly understand her customers. Her willingness to listen and adjust her approach has helped her build strong relationships while continuing to grow in her role.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in the past 5 years that has shaped how you work today?

"One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the past five years is the importance of being adaptable. In my role, every customer and every situation is different, so I’ve learned that success isn’t just about having the right product knowledge, even though that is very important. It’s about listening first, understanding each customer’s priorities, and adjusting my approach to meet their needs. Being open to change and approaching new challenges with a positive mindset has helped me grow professionally, become a better communicator and problem-solver, and build stronger relationships with both customers and my team."

Emily, congratulations on five years with Wisenbaker! Thank you for the dedication you bring to your role and the impact you continue to make. We’re grateful to have you as part of the Wisenbaker team and look forward to what’s ahead!
