Waller County isn’t just growing—it’s accelerating.

At today’s Waller County Economic Development Partnership annual Infrastructure Summit, industry leaders came together to tackle the realities of being one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas. The message was clear: growth at this scale requires intentional planning, cross-discipline collaboration, and forward-thinking infrastructure solutions.

Key discussions covered:
• Energy demands and system resilience
• Mobility and transportation expansion
• Drainage and flood mitigation strategies

Events like this are a reminder that successful development doesn’t happen in silos—it takes alignment between public agencies and private industry to build communities that last.

Landtech is proud to be part of the conversation.

One thing that makes Landtech unique is the strength of our expertise. Our team includes 16 licensed Registered Professional Land Surveyors (RPLS), far exceeding the industry norm of just three to four.

As we celebrate National Surveyors Week, we honor the dedication, discipline, and hard work it takes to earn this license. Passing the national NCEES Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) exam and the Texas State Specific Exam (TSSE) is a significant achievement, with only about 30% of applicants succeeding.

We also believe in investing in the future of our profession. Thay’s why we also offer students the opportunity to participate in study groups at our office, led by seasoned representatives who teach the Fundamentals of Surveying. Participants gain new perspectives, build connections, exchange ideas, and support each other’s growth from student to leader.

Landtech, is proud to lead with expertise and inspire the surveyors who will follow!

32 years ago, a partnership was built on something simple—a shared passion for surveying and a willingness to support one another.

Our President, Paul Kwan, loaned Roberto Obregon, Owner of RODS Surveying, with a Kern K1-5 Theodolite to help launch his business. What started as a generous gesture grew into a lasting professional relationship rooted in mutual respect.

Since then, Landtech and RODS Surveying have collaborated on more than 30 projects across the state of Texas, including work with Houston Airport System, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the Coastal Water Authority.

While we may be competitors by nature, this partnership is a reminder that there is always room in this industry to support one another, share opportunities, and grow together.
