We are very grateful and proud to share that Lomar Machine & Tool Co. has been selected as one of 11 Michigan manufacturers awarded funding through the Michigan Supplier Conversion Grant program.
This support is a meaningful investment in our team, our capabilities, and the future of manufacturing in Michigan. It allows us to continue modernizing our operations, expanding what we can do, and preparing for the evolving needs of the automotive industry—including hybrid and electric vehicle supply chains.

🔧 Tomorrow’s Engineers

This summer, we had the pleasure of welcoming two engineering interns to Lomar. Over the past two months, they gained hands-on experience, expanded their skills, and got a firsthand look at what it takes to design, build, and support the machines we create.
Their experience included SolidWorks training, learning to use our 3D printers, converting S1108 machine parts from Cadkey to SolidWorks, working on the shop floor to learn and assemble crimp dies, partnering with Maintenance, and contributing to several other projects throughout Lomar.
As we continue to grow and redevelop our internship program, we’re grateful for everyone who shared their time, experience, and knowledge to help make this a well-rounded learning experience.
We’re proud to play a small part in preparing the next generation of engineers and hope they leave Lomar with new skills and new perspectives🛠️

Proud to Support the Gene Rhodes Cure for Diabetes Golf Classic ⛳

Lomar Machine & Tool Co. was proud to support the Gene Rhodes Cure for Diabetes Golf Classic, hosted by Hanon Systems, and to sponsor a hole at this year’s event.

The tournament honors Gene Rhodes, a longtime Hanon Systems engineering employee known as the “grandfather of aluminum radiators.” During his nearly 60 years with the company, Gene earned 31 patents and left a lasting legacy within the industry.

Created in his honor, the tournament supports diabetes research through the University of Michigan Diabetes Research Center. Over the years, it has raised more than $184,500 and has become the university’s longest-running charity golf outing.

We enjoyed the opportunity to spend a day with members of the Hanon Systems team, step outside the typical business setting, and strengthen the relationships that make partnerships like ours so valuable.

We appreciate the invitation to be part of this meaningful event and are proud to support Hanon Systems and their continued commitment to making a difference through community initiatives.
