In 2020, we took self-adhered housewraps to the next level with the launch of HydroGap® SA - the first drainable, self-adhered WRB that combines a built-in drainage gap with air barrier performance🎉 . With its 100% continuous acrylic adhesive, this innovation revolutionized how we manage moisture and air infiltration, providing a seamless solution that’s repositionable and nail sealable.

Before HydroGap SA, self-adhered housewraps were limited to air barriers, but now builders have the best of both worlds - active drainage, air control, and superior adhesion. With HydroGap SA, we're pushing boundaries, making it easier to build more durable, energy-efficient homes.

Day 6 of 10 Days of Benny O: UV-PROTECTED RAINSCREEN SYSTEM

We've been at the forefront of open joint cladding systems—starting with InvisiWrap, our black, non-branded housewrap with a 365-day UV exposure before cladding is installed, launched in 2019. 🏠💨Fast forward to 2023, InvisiWrap SA takes it a step further with self-adhered technology, providing the same exceptional performance of the 100% continuous acrylic adhesive with the added benefit of seamless, fast installation. Introducing BenWrap™—formerly known as FlatWrap—our high-performance, flat housewrap designed for durability launched in 2019. 🏠💪 With its unique trilaminate construction, BenWrap isn’t just like any other flat housewrap. BenWrap has a micro-porous, non-perforated film that is put in between two non-woven layers allowing breathability and water hold-out capabilities for reliable moisture management. The non-woven layers give it extra durability to protect the film from damage during installation. A match made in heaven for our rainscreen products!

Day 4 of 10 Days of Benny O: HYDROFLASH

From peel-and-stick to liquid-applied, we’ve been advancing flashing technology for decades. 🏠💧 It started with HydroFlash GP in 2013, our go-to flashing tape for windows and doors to offer a system compatible with HydroGap. Then came HydroFlash UV+ in 2019, built tough for open-joint cladding and extreme UV exposure, and HydroFlash LA in 2020 for complex transitions with a liquid-applied seal.
Each product is engineered with advanced technology to work with our WRB and rainscreen systems, ensuring long-lasting protection where it matters most—your rough openings and critical connections. Today, HydroFlash products are trusted across the country to keep water out and projects airtight.

Day 3 of 10 Days of Benny O: HYDROGAP

Most of you know us from some of our staple products previously shown, or from our drainable housewrap, HydroGap. After seeing a need for a solution that enhanced drainage with lower cost and less application disruption of rainscreen, we used building science research to introduce the first ever integrated 1mm drainage gap—redefining what a housewrap could do. Launched in 2012 with a 5’ roll size based on contractor feedback, we expanded to offering 9’ rolls as well. By promoting rapid drainage while maintaining permeability with its tri-laminate design, it sets a new standard for water management behind cladding and raises the bar for long-term protection.

Day 2 of 10 Days of Benny O: SLICKER CLASSIC & SLICKER MAX

Back in 2002, we introduced Home Slicker, now known as Slicker® Classic — the first vertically-channeled rainscreen in North America. 💧 From growing increase in using a Cedar Breather-like product on the wall and the increase of moisture awareness in the early 2000’s, Slicker Classic revolutionized moisture management behind cladding, setting the standard for drainage and drying. Fast forward to 2015, Slicker® Max takes it up a notch with increased durability and an integrated fabric used for brick-and-mortar applications that keeps walls drier, longer. From Classic to Max, we’re still leading the way in rainscreen innovation. 💪

We worked with craft-focused roofers to find a faster alternative to wood furring – and Cedar Breather was born in 1990 🪵💨. Designed to eliminate moisture traps, promote airflow, and extend the life of roofs, it quickly became a go-to for roofers who know the value of ventilation.
