Pacific Shipyards International (PSI) is proud to join the crew of the USS Daniel K. Inouye (DDG 118) to celebrate the successful completion of her 5C1 Selected Restricted Availability.

Through partnership and disciplined ex*****on, PSI achieved the Avail Completion milestone weeks ahead of schedule, contributing to the ship certifying its schedule 8 days early- a meaningful boost to fleet readiness.

This achievement reflects a true One Team effort- bringing together PSI, Hawaii Regional Maintenance Center (HRMC), Ship’s Force, and all supporting repair activities. We appreciate the strong coordination across all partners, with special recognition to the ship’s leadership, whose professionalism and commitment set the tone for success throughout the availability.

PSI is honored to support DDG 118 and remains committed to delivering quality, safety, and performance in support of the Navy’s mission.

Celebrating Growth and Achievements: IT Interns Summer of Learning

It's hard to believe that our IT interns have just wrapped up their 6-week journey here at PSI thanks to the Pacific Intelligence Innovation Initiative (P3I) internship Program!

During their time with us, these talented interns dove into a variety of hands-on projects, learned valuable industry skills, and collaborated with our team to tackle real-world challenges. Ensuring a broad spectrum of skill growth these interns found themselves assisting in a variety of roles beginning with the basics of Cat6 termination and networking, through self-managed project development utilizing Python and AI system integrations.

Here are just a few highlights from their time with us:

💡Innovation & Problem Solving: They brought fresh perspectives and creative solutions to challenges big and small.

Pacific Shipyards International is proud to welcome our 2025 summer intern cohort! This year, we’re excited to host a dynamic mix of students- from local high schools, Hawai‘i-based colleges, and even a few top universities from the mainland! These students are joining us across our Mechanical, Engineering, Estimating, QA, and Structural departments!

These future leaders are diving into hands-on experiences that strengthen both their skills and our shipyard’s mission. Whether they’re on the dry dock or behind the drawings, they’re contributing to the vital work that powers Hawaii’s maritime industry.

Pacific Shipyards International (PSI), serving as the Prime Contractor and Lead Maintenance Activity, is proud to have completed key milestones on the USS Hopper dSRA on schedule—and ahead of it.

✅ Production Completion Date self-certified 3 days early
✅ Undocking milestone self-certified 7 days early

Achieving these milestones puts us on schedule to deliver our fourth consecutive on-time SRA in as many years, continuing our 100% track record of delivering critical maintenance and modernization for the U.S. Navy.
