Howdy everyone! We wrapped up a large project this week at the shop. Custom work benches for a green house. These have wooden shelving and a steel framework, as well as heavy-duty casters. These benches were designed to fit a custom space as well as be easy to move.

Howdy everyone! We just wrapped up a very fun project here at the shop.

This custom offset smoker was built years ago, served many briskets, ribs, and other good eats. Time took its toll, parts were deteriorated, and the customer wanted to restore it, as well as, make some changes to the overall design. Here is an overview of what we did.

Replaced the fire box. New hinge design and spring handles to help with heat transfer.

Removed the original stack, capped the opening.

Built a custom collector on the end, and added a taller stack with a dampener.

Added a second temp gauge.

Stripped the old finish, and treated the surface with boiled linseed oil.

This was a very fun project! And now the smoker is ready for more good food and good times. 🔥🍗

Howdy everyone! We have been busy here around
The shop. Lots of exciting and fun projects in the works or just sent out the door.

Moreno’s Towing reached out to us to design and fabricate some custom fire pits with their logo. Each one was personalized to the individual who was receiving theirs.

Howdy everyone! We just wrapped up a very exciting and unique project here at the shop.

A client came to us with an antique porcelain Humble Oils sign. What a beautiful piece of architectural history! The vision was to make the sign a center piece of a table top and to preserve the sign itself. Due to age some of the porcelain tiles had begun to deteriorate.

The solution was to build a steel base. And to encapsulate the sign itself in a food safe epoxy. We designed the base to compliment the sign, as well as an appropriate epoxy to ensure years of use and to protect the signage.

This was a very fun project! And we are thankful for the opportunity.

Howdy everyone! We just rapped up a really special project here at the shop. Took an old home-built trailer pit smoker, mounting it onto a 16 foot trailer deck and giving both pieces a new lease on life as a new trailer smoker!

Features to the pit include:

Custom 1/4” plate fire box
New 1-4” Caps on either end of the cook chamber
Custom bar stock fire grate inside fire box
New hinges and handle assemblies for the doors
New grating and supports inside cook chamber
Taller stack for better drafting and dampener
Custom branding to the cook chamber ends

Trailer modifications include:

New hubs and bearings
New wheels and tires
New fire wood box and front storage compartments frames out in expanded metal and angle iron for better organization
New wood decking in the work area
New wiring and tail lights

This was a very fun project, and a great challenge! It is now home and ready for the next big cook out!
