Yesterday, a fire occurred at Hollywood Used Auto Parts. The business was closed at the time, and we are thankful that everyone involved went home safely.
Emergency responders and off-the-clock employees arrived quickly, and from the moment they did, this was a team effort. Our owner and employees worked alongside firefighters, using our equipment to move vehicles so they could be safely accessed and extinguished. We stepped into action and did everything we could to help bring the situation under control.
We’re very proud of the strong relationship we’ve built over the years with our local first responders. We regularly open our yard to the fire department so they can practice vehicle extrication and rescue training. We support police K-9 training exercises, providing a safe environment where dogs can practice search and detection work. Yesterday’s response reflected that partnership and mutual trust.
We want to sincerely thank the fire department for their fast response and professionalism, and thank our customers, neighbors, and community for the support we’ve received during a difficult time.
While scrapyard operations involve inherent risks, incidents like this are taken very seriously. We will move forward with gratitude and prayer. To allow time for cleanup efforts, we will be closed to the public until further notice.
