Good morning!
Got Jt Lyon nova project all buttoned up with a fresh 8.50 cage and 9" rear! Pretty cool little.back story on this car, his father and uncle used to street race this car back in the day and its been sitting in storage for the better part of 30 years. JT decided he wanted to go racing so he dug the car out and began the rebuilt. Dig those old race cars out and get them back on the race track!

Monday came way too fast! Let's have a safe productive work week!
We buttoned up the first half of Ians fairmont project. As most projects always do, this one did snowball a little bit but thats alright we get it, plans change and were here to make it happen. We started off mini tubing the car and installing the new 8.8 so we could get this thing down on the ground. From there we built an 8.50 cage and redid the entire trunk area of the car. He also wanted to relocate the radiator to the rear along with the trans cooler so got everything tucked up under the car nicely. This car will be back shortly to get the last few things done on the underside and im sure knowing Ian Yabut we will be adding some more bars or something 😆

Always a good sign when we get a load of chromoly! Busy busy!
Just a reminder regarding building cages and chassis', we do not install kits! Nothing against anyone who does or the companies that make the kits we just prefer to have our own product from start to finish.

I see this way too much and im getting real sick and tired of it. At what point in time do we hold these chassis inspectors accountable for certifying unsafe cars. I have always said chassis certs are a joke and this is exactly why. There is ZERO consistency. This car has welds ground down completely flat and covered in bondo all over the cage. It also just got a fresh 8.50 cert a couple weeks ago. Despite whoever built this car being a totally hack, the customer trusts that the chassis is safe when the chassis inspector blesses it off. Its not the customers fault for not realizing the cage was not how it shouldve been. We need to do better and take some pride in our work. Mistakes happen and some stuff gets missed, i get that, but this is just sad. So now we try to come up with a game plan to get this car where it needs to be.

Love working on dragsters keep them coming! Got our buddy Vernon old 97 danny nelson hardtail in for a small project. Made a new rear radiator and trans cooler mount. Also made a fuel cap holder sense we all know we all know how easy it is to loose that fuel cap for the 30sec we are filling up...aside from that we went over the whole car checking for cracks, nut n bolt check and buttoning up loose ends. Hopefully in the near future youll see this on on the jig getting backhalfed.

We made it to friday! Got a pair of spring loaded wheelie bars made up for Mike lockermans camaro. This car having a dana made it a little tricky to mount wheels bars to it so we had to make some mounting points. Upper bars attached to some brackets bolted to the diff cover and the lowers are attached to a bolt in cross bar. Added some gussets to the ladder bar brackets on the housing and then replaced the diagonal link clevis'. Fun little job and this should keep mike from dragging the parachute mount again.

Good morning good morning! Did a little clean up in the front of Arty's hot rod. There was a little bit of a mess going on so decided to cut it all out and start fresh. Made a new fuel mount and a new tow/winch hookup. Definitely a lot cleaner then before! Little bit at a tike this car is really coming around!
