Tank geometry is an important consideration when designing a performance-engineered liquid mixer.

Cylindrical tanks typically require the mixer to be mounted vertically on-center with baffles, or the mixer to be mounted angular-offset without baffles.

With square, cross-sectional tanks, the tank corners act as baffles, so the mixer can be mounted vertically on-center resulting in effective blending and/or solids suspension.
