Steve is a propane industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. He started his journey in 2002 behind the wheel of a bobtail and worked his way up through service, operations, and district management. Welcome to the team, Terry Benedict!

We are thrilled to announce that Terry has joined Bergquist as our newest Area Sales Manager for the New England and New York territories.

Terry brings an incredible depth of experience and a diverse background that makes him a perfect fit for our team. From his service in the U.S. Army to his extensive leadership in the energy and food industries, Terry’s career is defined by dedication and a "get it done" attitude.

A Career Built on Service and Leadership

Military Service: Joined the U.S. Army in 1991 as an M1A1 Tank Gunner and Combat Life Saver, earning numerous medals and certifications.

Energy Industry Expert: Over 16 years of experience as a District Manager for major propane companies including AmeriGas, Suburban, and Superior Plus Propane.

Sales & Operations Pro: 14 years in food service sales and a former business owner of two restaurants in Ticonderoga and Hudson, NY.
Community Focused: Previously served as a Director for the YMCA across NY and MA.

When he’s not supporting our customers, Terry spends time with his family. He and his wife, Helen Barton-Benedict, have been married for 25 years and are proud parents to Terrence (a Mechanical Engineer), Montgomery (a Civil Engineering student and college athlete), and Charlize (an avid equestrian and multi-sport athlete).

Terry is also a proud member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, where he combines his passion for motorcycling with a mission to support fellow veterans. You can also find him boating, golfing, skiing, or tending to his horses, dogs, and chickens.
