Our team had a great time representing Velocity Metalworks at the Global Shop Game Day Conference in Chicago!

Bryan, Rob, and Kayla spent the day connecting with other manufacturers, sharing ideas, and exploring new ways to continue improving efficiency, communication, and customer experience through ERP and manufacturing technology.

Today at Velocity Metalworks, we invested in our team with hands-on tooling training for our turret operators.

This session focused on:

• Proper tool maintenance
• Troubleshooting techniques
• Driving efficiency at the machine level

Why it matters:

Stronger operator knowledge leads to better accuracy, less material waste, reduced downtime, and ultimately—more consistent quality for our customers.
At the end of the day, continuous improvement isn’t just a process—it’s a mindset. And it starts with equipping our people with the right tools and knowledge to succeed.

This past Friday, Kayla spent some time communicating with students at the Kaskaskia College Career Fair. Our team loved sharing what manufacturing really looks like today—innovative, hands-on, and full of opportunities. From advanced technology to creative problem-solving, we were excited to show how careers in manufacturing go far beyond what many people expect. It was great meeting so many motivated students, answering questions, and talking about the different paths available in the industry. The future of manufacturing is bright, and it starts with the next generation of talent. Thanks to everyone who attended our sessions—we’re looking forward to seeing where your journeys take you!
