Pettigrew & Associates was honored to have our President & CEO, Debra Hicks, PE/LSI, participate as a panelist during today’s Permian Road Safety Coalition Luncheon Series in Hobbs, New Mexico.

In her role as District 2 Representative on the New Mexico State Transportation Commission, Debra joined regional leaders for a discussion on “The Intersection of Road Safety & Economic Development,” highlighting the importance of strategic infrastructure investment, transportation planning, and collaboration in supporting safe and sustainable growth across our region.

Thank you to the Permian Road Safety Coalition and Mewbourne Oil Company for hosting an important conversation focused on the future of transportation and roadway safety in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. 🚧🛣️

Pettigrew & Associates is proud to support the next generation of engineers and environmental leaders through the WERC Environmental Design Contest at New Mexico State University.

This year marked the third consecutive year that Pettigrew’s Dr. Wei Sun, PE, Ph.D. served as a judge for this nationally recognized competition. 🎓 Dr. Sun earned his doctorate from NMSU, making this opportunity especially meaningful as he continues giving back to the university and future engineering professionals.

Now in its 36th year, the WERC Environmental Design Contest brings together students from across the country to solve real-world environmental and engineering challenges involving water, energy, climate, sustainability, and resource recovery. 💡♻️ Students respond to industry-style RFPs, develop innovative solutions, and present working bench-scale models while gaining valuable professional experience.

Programs like WERC provide incredible opportunities for students to connect with industry professionals, strengthen technical and communication skills, and prepare for future engineering careers. 👏 We are grateful to Dr. Sun for representing Pettigrew and for helping mentor and encourage the future of our profession.
