We are excited to continue sharing the progress of the Blue Mile Streetscape Improvements – Phase 2 in Statesboro!
Last week, we were proud to participate in a drop-in public involvement meeting alongside City of Statesboro staff. It was a great opportunity to meet with members of the community, answer questions, and share the plans and designs for this exciting project.
Serving as an important gateway to downtown Statesboro, Phase 2 extends along South Main Street from the intersection of South Main Street and Fair Road to the Statesboro Regional Library. The project will bring a revitalized look and feel to this important corridor through a variety of improvements, including new sidewalks with brick paver-look accents, driveway improvements, street lighting, a bus stop shelter, drainage improvements, and street resurfacing.
Beyond the visible streetscape enhancements, the project also includes upgrades to underground infrastructure and traffic engineering improvements at key intersections. Together, these improvements will enhance the appearance, functionality, safety, and overall experience of this important gateway into downtown Statesboro.
We are proud to be part of a project that will make a lasting impact on the community and look forward to seeing the Blue Mile continue to take shape!
