On Patriot Day, we pause to remember those we lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and selflessness that followed.

May we never forget the strength of our communities, the dedication of those who served, and the importance of standing together.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

We are excited to continue sharing the progress of the Blue Mile Streetscape Improvements – Phase 2 in Statesboro!

Last week, we were proud to participate in a drop-in public involvement meeting alongside City of Statesboro staff. It was a great opportunity to meet with members of the community, answer questions, and share the plans and designs for this exciting project.

Serving as an important gateway to downtown Statesboro, Phase 2 extends along South Main Street from the intersection of South Main Street and Fair Road to the Statesboro Regional Library. The project will bring a revitalized look and feel to this important corridor through a variety of improvements, including new sidewalks with brick paver-look accents, driveway improvements, street lighting, a bus stop shelter, drainage improvements, and street resurfacing.

Beyond the visible streetscape enhancements, the project also includes upgrades to underground infrastructure and traffic engineering improvements at key intersections. Together, these improvements will enhance the appearance, functionality, safety, and overall experience of this important gateway into downtown Statesboro.

We are proud to be part of a project that will make a lasting impact on the community and look forward to seeing the Blue Mile continue to take shape!

T. R. Long Engineering, P.C. is hard at work on Blue Mile Streetscape Improvements Phase 2 in Statesboro, Georgia. Our surveyors have been hard at work locating all roadways, sidewalks, brick pavers, crosswalks, landscape areas, trees, signs, light poles, signal poles, stormwater catch basins, stormwater pipes, ditches, sanitary sewer manholes and sewer mains, water valves, fire hydrants, water mains, water meters, backflow preventors underground power lines, underground gas mains, and underground communication lines.

We are providing the design of improvements along South Main Street from the Fair Road intersection to East/West Grady Street. As the design engineer for this project, our intent is to provide stormwater, utility, and streetscape improvements to the area, along with landscaping where viable, utility relocation to underground, and a redesign of the Grady Street intersection to resolve an issue created from the current offset.

We continue to improve storm water, sidewalks, streetlights and power lines along Phase 2 of the Blue Mile. Surveying crews making it happen! 👏
