We hope everyone has been having a !

Today (5/12/2023)—the day I am writing this post, it is 81 degrees Fahrenheit and feels like 87! With clear blue skies and sunshine beaming down all day with 0 precipitation, it’s truly a celebration here in Western New York State!

As a side note, you’ll notice in this video that we haven’t yet sanded and painted over the new weld on the back of the steel oven door, after making the minor adjustments, as detailed in the previous posts.

I also caught my father—Gigi Pecora, grilling in the background! 😄

We hope everyone has a blessed and safe weekend with your friends and loved ones!

The grind doesn’t stop on this !

Check out my pops—Gigi Pecora at Hilton Metals Manufacturing LLC grinding off the paint and the weld from the back of the steel oven door, in order to pop out the handle, so we could attach a washer to prevent the handle from scratching the front of the door when opening and closing it.

These minor adjustments will only make the final product more appealing and functionally efficient!

Behind the scenes, I was helping my father with some of this work! 😁

Enjoy!

Check out my pops—Gigi Pecora making some minor adjustments to the hinges of the steel oven door.

He basically used the grinder to smoothen out part of the edge, so that the door will open and close more efficiently.

We all ❤️ you dad!

Keep up the great work!

Happy !

Back in the day, when I was a teenager between 1992-1994 (14-16 years old), I used to spray paint graffiti throughout the City of Rochester, NY!

As you can see in this video, I received my spray painting skills from my father Gigi Pecora! 😂 He showed great can control and sprayed an even coat of heat-resistant black paint on the back of the steel oven door.

He basically covered up the plug welds that my brother Michael Pecora made to attach the stainless steel logo to the front.

Now that the logo is attached, we will have to polish it, so that the weld marks are not visible from the front.

Enjoy!

Featured in these pictures are the layouts and prep work done by my brother Michael Pecora to plug weld the official Hilton Metals Manufacturing LLC stainless steel logo to the front of the steel oven door!

You will also see my father Gigi Pecora in the last picture grinding off the paint on two specific areas—where the plug welds will take place.

Look who we have in the house!! It’s my younger brother Michael Pecora! He is also the 3rd eldest child of my father Gigi Pecora!

Mike is the current General Operations Manager at Rochester Structural and is the one who created the original Hilton Metals Manufacturing LLC LOGO!

With that being said, it was only fitting for him to be the one to complete the project by laying out and welding the logo to the wood-fire brick oven steel door!

Mike connected with his friend Bill Martinelli at Thurston Mechanical (www.ThurstonMechanical.com) who was so kind not only to plasma cut 1 logo in stainless steel—but “3” of them! We can’t thank Bill enough!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Look out for more posts of Michael Pecora doing his thing!

Happy Throwback Thursday!

Well, we are only going to throw it back two days ago (Tuesday, April 25, 2023), when we started our first fire in the beautiful Italian Style Custom Steel & Wood-Fire Brick Oven at Hilton Metals Manufacturing LLC!

The pictures featured in this post depict the progression from the initial wood setup to the first ashes!

We also conducted some preliminary cooking experiments, which you will notice in the last 2 pictures that we heated some food wrapped up in aluminum foil and a small piece of 🍕 to test how it cooks—so far so good! (I got that crust super crispy with a wood smoked flavor)! 😋

However, the curing process must take another few days before the real cooking can begin!

Enjoy!

Check out the footage of the very 1st 🔥 we started in the brick oven cooking dome!!

This occurred on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Hilton Metals Manufacturing LLC!

It will take about a week of starting small daily fires in order to remove the moisture from the bricks, steel and mortar, before we can start a larger fire and actually conduct some serious cooking experiments! 🍕😋

We have to endure this process to make sure that no cracks occur from the trapped moisture.

Tomorrow, we will post a collage of pictures showing the the progression of initiating the first fire—from the wood setup to the first ashes!

Enjoy!
