JC Custom Machining & Design, Inc., a job shop located in Hillsboro, has an immediate full time position opening for a CNC Machinist. We run prototyping and production runs on CNC Vertical mills and a Mazak dual spindle lathe with manual machines for secondary operations. Qualified candidates must possess skills necessary to successfully function in a quick turn, high speed machine shop.
Job Responsibilities: (Included, but not limited to)
• CNC setup and operation; teach tools, load programs and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly.
• Haas and Mazak controls
• Read prints and inspect parts for conformance, typically +/- .005 tolerance
• Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Have setup and production experience with close tolerance machined components.
• Excellent work ethic and dependability.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to adapt to an ever changing production environment.
• Trade school and/or at least one year experience in the manufacturing environment preferred.
Job Conditions/Physical Requirements
• Exposure to manufacturing environment such as noise and dust.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend reach, and move about facilities.
• Must be able to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Shifts available:
• Day Shift Monday - Thursday 5am-330pm
• Swing Shift Monday - Thursday: 2:15pm-12:45am

Memorial Service For Clay: I have had several inquires regarding when we will be having a service for Clay, so I thought I should send out an update regarding this. Many of you know that my husband's faith was an important part of who he ...

It is with great regret and the deepest sadness to inform you of Clay Carey’s passing. He was our company President, beloved husband, father and cousin. He passed Saturday July 25 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Clay was able to spend the past year and a half at home and among other things got to walk Brianna down the aisle in her storybook wedding to Justin, go hunting, golfing with Jimmie and spend every day with his family and furry family as well.

Clay was never angry about his cancer, he was only sorry to be leaving his family and friends and yet he first and foremost trusted God’s plan. He will be with us always in our hearts, but right now we miss him terribly.

Thank you for all the love, patience and support you have given him and our immediate family. Please be patient as we make our way into a new normal without Clay.

We want to ensure our valued customers and vendors that our business operations will continue with the same level of service and attention to detail as we always have. Most of you are not aware that Clay and Kirstie had temporarily transitioned out 17 months ago. Their team responded and managed daily operations flawlessly. It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to one of the best.... Marcus Schmidt, our close personal friend and Clay's original right hand guy. He suddenly and unexpectedly passed on Sunday eve 7/14. Although years ago, Marcus went on to fullfill his life long dream of owning his own gunsmith business, there forever will be a big part of him that remains with us at JC. His mentorship, the lasting results of his hard work and dedication, and his humor will forever be a part of us. RIP dear friend, the world is a lot less bright without you in it. We will see you on the other side ❤️
