In 2016, Madeline Anderson had the idea of adding a car show to the Westby Area Historical Society pie and ice cream social as a fundraiser. The success of her idea has been monumental for the organization, and the "Madeline Anderson Award" is very special to Sweet Rides & Sweet Pies. Chairperson Garland McGarvey gave Marty Stenslien and his 1969 Pontiac GTO this year's award. Marty bought the car at Peterson Motors in Viroqua and has been the only owner. The car sat outside for many years after Marty quit driving it but has recently undergone a complete, multi-year restoration. It's a beauty!
