How we started:
Throughout my childhood I worked alongside my grandfather, Papa, wood working. He would spend hours explaining the tiniest details to me. He built everything from rustic pictures frames, clocks, furniture and he even built the pews, alter, stair case and offering table in my church. I developed a love for the wood and it turned into a hobby of mine too. My Papa passed away in 2006 and I reflected on my many memories and time spent with him crafting. The corporate world took over pushing back my hobby until 2013 when my wife, Lauren, and I bought a new house. The kitchen in our 1952 home is a 600sqft open room and she wanted a 12ft, countertop height farm style table. We looked for a few months and everything was out of our price range. Finally, I thought of Papa and realized I knew how to build this... he had taught how to build everything. I got my supplies out, including one of Papas sanders, hunted down true reclaimed heart pine and built the 12’ table my wife requested. My wife has also embraced the hobby and we truly enjoy the teamwork it brings. The wood itself tells a story and it's useable, living history. Affordability and functionality are our main concerns. We truly enjoy crafting things for people to enjoy for years to come. I personally build each time from start to finish. What we have accomplished:
