We are a general store we carry hardware, plumbing, electrical, housewares, lawn and garden supplies, and also clothing our brands of clothing we carry are Wrangler, Cinch, Miss Me, Cowgirl Tuff and a few others. We also have online shopping for all of our customers who do not live close. We also do a ton of special orders we can order almost anything that you want.

Our Story

Cole’s General Store actually started out in 1969 as just a plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration service center. In 2005, the actual store itself was opened to provide general plumbing, electrical, housewares, lawn/garden, and hardware supplies to the citizen of Hico, TX and surrounding areas. Shortly there after, the clothing side of the store was added. Some of the brands we carry include Wrangler, Cinch, Ariat, Miss Me, Roper, Cowgirl Tuff, Twisted X, Hooey, Silver Jeans, and Corky’s just to name a few. We enjoy attending various hardware and clothing markets through out the year to make sure we are providing our customers with the newest and best items there are to offer! We are a multi-generational family owned and operated company. Our staff enjoys chatting with the locals each day and helping out with their needs, whether it be a plumbing project or finding that perfect outfit for a special occasion. We also have an online store for our out-of-town customers! We update this regularly and are quick to answer any questions. Come on by and check us out or visit us online!
