Meet the Machine: The Akemat U4 🔧

The Akemat U4 may not be manufactured anymore, but that doesn’t mean these machines are done grinding! Equipment, Ltd. has been giving older U4s a modern CNC upgrade with new drives, updated operating software, and an HMI touch screen display!

Instead of replacing the entire machine, customers can send in their existing U4 for just a CNC conversion or full out rebuild with powder coating, depending on the machine’s condition.

Meet the Machine ⚙️

This week we're featuring the EQZDH 800, a cost-effective solution for brazing carbide and stellite tipped saw blades. It features a user-friendly KINCO HMI touch screen for easy data input, along with a Keyence PLC system and THK guide ways for accurate, reliable movement.

With four brazing programs including tri-metal shim, wire, shim and wire, and pre-tinned tips, it adapts to a variety of operational needs. A built-in variable pitch program and 3kW chiller round out the system for consistent performance.

The EQZDH 800 offers manual loading, with the option to pair it with the EQZDH 500R for automatic loading up to 500mm (20”), while still accommodating larger blades up to 800mm (32”).
