Congratulations to the City of Silver Bay and John Anderson as the Boathouse Bay project moves forward. We are excited for construction to begin later this year.

Construction is set to begin on a nearly $25 million development of townhomes and vacation rentals in Silver Bay, the first of several projects to reinvent the city originally built as a mining company town.

JPJ Engineering provides civil and municipal engineering services for public clients throughout the upper Midwest. We work closely with municipalities, regulatory and environmental agencies, to provide innovative solutions to a variety of projects that are not only cost effective to build, but are easy to maintain and serve the intended purpose throughout its useful life.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

JPJ Engineering provides commercial, residential and industrial site development services that are cost effective, environmentally sound and aesthetically pleasing. Our team of engineers and site designers will begin concept planning, determine project constraints up front, prepare realistic budgets, collect essential project data, and become a team member right at the beginning of a project.

Site designs include grading, infrastructure, storm water management, erosion control and landscaping plans specific to the client’s needs. We utilize the most recent Auto CAD Civil 3D programs to provide the necessary detail to construct the project. Construction management includes assisting in contractor selections, managing contract documents, site surveying to layout the project, site visits to insure project compliance is met and record documents of as-built conditions.

LAND SURVEYING

Working with an accurate and informative land survey is fundamental to any land acquisition, development project or ownership interest. Whether you need a boundary survey, elevation certificate, topographic map or ALTA/ASCM land title survey, JPJ has distinguished itself as a premier surveyors among clients, peers and industry experts. In addition to experienced staff, we use state-of-the-art instruments that include highly efficient robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, GPS satellite receivers, electronic levels, and the most recent mapping and CAD software.

3D LASER SCANNING

JPJ Engineering is fully equipped for 3D laser scanning and the process of delivering point clouds, project models and high definition mesh products. 3D laser scanning uses safe lasers through a non-destructive technology to produce high accuracy data points. By combing millions of closely spaced data points, the point cloud is created. These point clouds are then used to create a model or a high definition mesh that represents the object’s surface in an editable CAD drawing. The digitization of real-world objects provides detailed as-built conditions for many technical applications.
